Caraga State University (CSU) has taken another step toward strengthening its innovation ecosystem with the official turnover of the Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab) by the Department of Trade and Industry-Caraga (DTI-Caraga). The turnover was marked by a ceremonial signing of the Deed of Donation and the Turnover of the Key to Responsibility on October 1, 2025, at the HERO Learning Commons, CSU.

In his speech, Dr. Daguil expressed the significance of the facility: “This is more than a facility. It translates into so much innovation in the University.”
The event also brought together partner institutions for the signing of the RAISE Program Advisory Board, including state universities and regional agencies such as NEMSU, ASSCAT, SNSU, DA-Caraga, ATI-RTC Region XIII, BFAR-Caraga, BCCIF, DOST-Caraga, DTI-Caraga, and CCAARRD. Their collaboration is seen as a catalyst for research and development across agriculture, fisheries, and industry.
To further advance innovation, CSU signed a Technology Licensing Agreement (TLA) with SANICO Fabrication and Machines. Dr. Daguil, Prof. Kenneth L. Ciudad of the Technology Transfer and Licensing Office, and Engr. Aljon Bocobo of the Center for Resource Assessment, Analytics, and Emerging Technologies represented CSU.
