The Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program in Caraga successfully conducted the Regional Echo of the Technology Promotion Mentorship Series (TPMS) and Pitch Preparation Workshop on September 23–24, 2025, hosted at Caraga State University (CSU) through a hybrid setup. Participants from Northeastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) and Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) joined virtually via Zoom.
The two-day workshop aimed to strengthen the skills of technology generators and RAISE project staff in effectively promoting and pitching their developed technologies for commercialization. Participants representing selected agri-aqua technologies actively engaged in a series of lectures and hands-on sessions designed to enhance storytelling, visual communication, and presentation skills.
Day 1 featured the Tech Tale Workshop, led by Mr. Mark Vincent Vergara, where participants crafted compelling stories highlighting their technologies’ value, purpose, and potential impact. This was followed by a session on Technology Poster Creation facilitated by Mr. Joey Arles O. Vergara, Project Leader of RAISE Project 4 – Knowledge Management Hub. The activity allowed participants to translate their narratives into visually engaging materials, emphasizing clear and creative communication.
On Day 2, the focus shifted to Creating Effective Pitches, facilitated by Mr. Kenneth Boyles, Project Development Officer III of RAISE Project 3 – Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator (ATBI). Participants presented their technology pitch demos, applying the lessons from previous sessions. After each presentation, constructive feedback was provided to help refine their message delivery, content, and confidence.
Before the day concluded, Prof. Kenneth L. Ciudad, RAISE Program Leader, delivered an insightful talk on “Communicating Results and Impact Effectively.” His message emphasized the importance of highlighting measurable outcomes, real-world applications, and the broader benefits of research and innovation when engaging with audiences and stakeholders.
The Regional Echo of TPMS and Pitch Preparation Workshop proved to be a productive and engaging learning experience. It provided participants with the tools to effectively communicate, visualize, and present their technologies — bringing them one step closer to successful commercialization and wider community adoption.
