Caraga State University (CSU) is excited to announce a positive collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL)!
Prior to the aimed discussions on the Regional Development Plan (RDP) for Caraga, Eng. Chamlette Garcia and Mr. Dindo Dumali, experts from IPOPHL, delivered an informative session on Industrial Design protection and Protecting Inventions Internationally via Direct Route and through the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) on April 16, 2024 at Caraga State University HERO Learning Commons.
The engaging talks sparked curiosity and ignited innovative ideas among our esteemed Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Center Directors. The session promoted fruitful discussions, prompting valuable questions and collaborative brainstorming sessions.
Furthermore, a strategic meeting was held with CSU's leaders, including President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension (VPRIE) Dr. Jeffry T. Dellosa, and Director of Technology Transfer and Licensing Office (TTLO) Mr. Kenneth Ciudad. Together with IPOPHL representatives, they initiatially conferred on a potential roadmap to strengthen Caraga's intellectual property landscape.
This development marks the beginning of the "IP Caravan for Caraga" tentatively on July this year. This initiative promises to be a journey of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and encouraging innovation.
