The RAISE Program successfully conducted its Year 2 Strategic Action Plan Development Workshop, bringing together project staff and partners from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Caraga to collaboratively plan, align, and sustain the program’s initiatives for the coming year.
Held with approximately 50 participants from Caraga State University (CSU), Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT), and Northeastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU), the one-day session aimed to strengthen coordination, enhance accountability, and ensure alignment with RAISE’s vision of advancing regional innovation and technology commercialization.
The workshop kicked off with a Welcome Message from Dr. Rodel Oclaret, Project 1B Leader of ASSCAT, followed by a planning session led by Prof. Kenneth L. Ciudad, RAISE Program Leader. Prof. Ciudad emphasized the importance of a consolidated activity calendar to streamline implementation and track milestones across projects. Each RAISE project then presented its respective outputs and plans for Year 2, ensuring unified direction and collaboration.
In the afternoon, the team conducted a pictorial session for the RAISE Google Site and Calendar, followed by a Sustainability Planning session led by Prof. Ciudad. Using SWOT analysis, participants identified the program’s strengths, challenges, and opportunities for long-term sustainability. Discussions also covered the Year 2 LIB reprogramming, monthly themes, and design of the RAISE Calendar, facilitated by Mr. Marvin Jay Campana, PTA II of Project 4 – Knowledge Management Hub.
Participants expressed positive feedback on the workshop’s structure and content, particularly the hands-on planning activities. They recommended extending future sessions to allow for deeper discussions and resource sharing.
Overall, the RAISE Year 2 Strategic Action Plan Development successfully achieved its goals of collaboration, alignment, and strategic foresight. The outputs—including the consolidated calendar, sustainability framework, and project action plans—will serve as guiding tools in ensuring the continued success and impact of the RAISE Program in fostering innovation, technology transfer, and commercialization in Caraga.
